Belonging to the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, the Voyager class of ships is built for leisure and relaxation, as their slogan so nicely says: “Is It a Ship or a Destination?” With such ships, tourists never think of the destination, they don’t have the anxiety of getting there faster or sooner. It is just like the time stopped while they were playing basketball, golf or skating. How can you skate at the board of a cruise ship? With the Voyager Class cruise ships this is possible, because they have ice-skating facilities for their customers. Another great feature is the Royal Promenade, which is like a main street in the USA, with shops, cafe bars and all the stuff, only it is placed in the middle of the ocean, on a cruise ship deck.

For adventurers, there’s a 200 feet rock wall for climbing, on each of these Royal cruise ships. You can challenge yourself and see if you have the heights sick while hanging so high above the water surface. For romantics, there are dance clubs, specialty restaurants, wine bars.

The Youth program would keep your kids busy during the cruise, allowing you to enjoy relaxation while specialized staff attends your children in their games.

Should you be willing to take your office people on a cruise, you’ll have all facilities for conference such as a dedicated meeting space which can accommodate up to 400 people, an executive boardroom, presentation rooms already equipped with all high-tech tools for presentations, teleconferencing equipment and more.

The Voyager Royal cruise ships are: Adventure of the Seas, Explorer of the Seas, Mariner of the Seas, Navigator of the Seas and Voyager of the Seas. All of them can offer you an unforgettable cruising experience, with their luxury facilities and with their trained and polite staff, always ready to fulfill your wishes and make you feel good.

This is a follow up of our previous article about Royal cruise ships, which has the purpose of getting you acquainted with the various ship families in the Royal Caribbean cruise company, so you have a better picture of what you can benefit from is such cruises.

Brilliance of the Seas

This ship belongs in the Radiance class. It weighs about 90000 tons and it can accommodate 2500 passengers. The ratio crew-passengers is 1 to 2.9, which means that for a three member family, there’s one person in the staff dedicated fully to your needs and desires. Like her bigger sister, Adventure of the Seas, this ship has a rock climbing wall, three pools, a state-of-the-art fitness and spa center and great dining rooms, bars and cafes. Although it has only 12 decks, Brilliance of the Seas offers the same degree of comfort and the same luxury and leisure possibilities like the bigger ships. It only accommodates less passengers, that’s all. The level of professionalism and comfort stays the same, being representative for Royal cruise lines in general.

Enchantment of the Seas

Weighing about 80,000 tons and welcoming aboard 2446 passengers, this ship was put in service in 1997 and it was fully refurbished in 2005. The points of difference are the expanded pool deck that juts out over the ocean, 151 additional cabins for passengers, four bungee trampolines, two suspension bridge, and the interactive Splash Deck for children. These have been added with the occasion of refurbishing the ship, which has 11 decks, offering all entertainment facilities, theaters, dinig rooms and bars which we are already used to find on a Royal cruise ship. Besides, they offer trained children care staff, so moms and dads can feel young and romantic again.

Explorer of the Seas

This is another Voyager class member, weighing 142,000 tons. 3114 passengers can have a simultaneously great vacation aboard, served by a crew with a ratio of 1 to 2.6, which shows how much Royal cruise lines care about your comfort and relaxation.
Besides the entertaining, fitness and leisure facilities, there’s an internet center, allowing passengers to communicate with their friends and peers all over the world. One can even run an internet business from the deck of this ship, while enjoying luxury and peaceful atmosphere. Whirlpool spas can relax even the most stressed guy out there, you know?

Have you noticed one thing? Regardless the ship class, the level of comfort is high, all ships providing more or less the same facilities for a great vacation on the sea. Did you know that more than half of the people who take a Royal cruise are willing to take another one at least?

You probably know that the ships in the Royal Caribbean cruise company fall into six classes, according to their size. Maybe you want to know more about each ship, by name, so you know what to expect when you see it serves one of the hundreds of cruises covered by Royal Caribbean.

Royal Caribbean Ships Overview

These are the ships, in alphabetical order, with a few words about each of them. As this is going to be a long article, we are going to break it into a series, so we can offer you as many details as possible about each of these luxury ships

Adventure of the Seas

The size of this ship is 142000 tons. It entered in service in 2001, it can accommodate 3114 passengers and it has a crew-to-passenger ratio of 1 to 2.6. You can imagine what coordination they must have, in order to make all those people work like a team and have all passengers feel like home.
This ship has three dining rooms, a golf simulator, fitness center, entertainment complex with ice skating facility and concert venue, aquarium bar, Casino Royale, Royal promenade with bars, cafeterias and shops, three pools and an outdoor family deck with water slide. The Optix teen disco can keep your kids entertained all night long, and adults are not allowed in. The Cloud nine, the upper bar with panoramic view, offers you piano music and intimate seating arrangements, for romantic moments and great photos.
After dinner, you can enjoy a good cigar and a glass of brandy in the Connoisseur Club, the cozy lounge situated on deck 5.
The jogging track will help you keep your home habits, so you don’t turn into a sedentary guy while having your Royal cruise vacation. The spirit is not ignored as well, trivia games being held daily in the library, where you can find books for all tastes and needs.
All these facilities and many more are spread on 15 decks. This is more than the building I live in. It’s like a small town which takes you to great vacation places while keeping you in shape and entertained.
Adventure of the Seas is a member of the Voyager family of Royal Caribbean cruise ships and it serves the Southern Caribbean cruise lines.

Can you imagine your week at the board of this Royal cruise ship?

It is well-known today that if you want a cruise on a reliable, elegant, luxury ship, going for the Royal Caribbean Cruise company is almost a certitude of a great vacation. If I told you that this cruising company is only one year younger than I am, what does it tell you? Next year, the Royal Caribbean cruise lines will be 40 years of age, and it originates from a joint venture between three shipping companies from Norway.

Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines Headquarters

This huge cruise organizer is located in Miami, Florida. They are famous for their cruise ships, which are some of the best of their kind in the world. I’ve even heard that their latest ship which is currently being built will have a real park, with trees, flowers, alleyways and shops, just like the Central Park in New York. So, if you don’t go to New york, the city will come to you, smaller than in reality, but with the same charm and elegance that made it famous.

Royal Cruises Target Customers

With all the facilities and events going on their ships, Royal Cruises are pretty much for every type of tourist, from toddlers to elders. If you love art, you’ll have it on your cruise, thanks to the theaters and cinemas which are present on all ships. Are you rather the sportsman type, willing to enjoy a good swimming and some gym workouts? Royal Cruises have them all, including fitness trainers and modern fitness machines, lots of swimming pools, courses of diving and of course, the snorkeling for those who don’t have the guts to dive.
If you go on one of these cruises, do not forget your camera at home, because all Royal Caribbean cruise ships feature the so-called Viking Crown Lounge, which is the bar at the very top of the ship. The panoramic views from there are absolutely fabulous. Are you a formal, luxury lover? On cruises that last longer than 2 days, you’ll have the chance to be invited to the formal Captain’s dinner, where you’ll have to wear a formal outfit such as tuxedos for men and cocktail dresses for women. It is not a must to attend the dinner if you don’t wish, but it surely is interesting.

The Royal Caribbean Cruise Fleet

The Royal Caribbean fleet comprises six categories of ships – Oasis, Freedom, Voyager, Radiance, Vision and Sovereign Class, enumerated from the biggest to the smallest. Depending on their size, these ships are allocated to different routes or cruise lines, but all of them are state-of-the-art, when it comes to technical devices and to services and entertainment facilities offered to their customers.

This fleet takes people on unforgettable vacations all over the world, the Royal Caribbean Cruise lines including over 100 destinations. Maybe you had the chance to see those huge ships at docks in harbors where you were just spending your vacation. Perhaps you even took photos of those ships, to show them to your friends. Why not take a Royal cruise as well?
